CIVIC GRANTS FUND AVAILABLE TO LOCAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS

Rotary Club of Shreveport calls for application submissions due February 15, 2019

 

 

Shreveport, LA — November 24, 2018

 Area non-profit organizations planning projects to benefit the Shreveport-Bossier community in the coming year may now apply for local funding from Rotary Club of Shreveport to aid their efforts.  The Rotary Club is now accepting civic grant applications, which must be postmarked no later than February 15, 2019.

The maximum amount for any one grant awarded will be $5,000.  This year's recipients of the grant will be announced no later than May 16, 2019.

New eligibility rule beginning with awarding of 2019 grants: When an organization receives a major grant ($3,000-$5,000) they are not eligible for a major grant for the next two grant cycles.  In addition to the major grants, a number of $300 Honorariums will be selected and recognized at weekly meetings.

Box 380, Shreveport, LA 71162.

Rotary Club of Shreveport supports the community through funding of select projects that benefit local area residents and provide opportunities for members of the club to actively participate and provide recognition of Rotary.  Priorities for civic projects supported by the club include education, social services and community development
